Oh, give it a rest.

Roman Reigns really isn't as bad as some would have you believe. No, he isn't the WWE devil and yes, he is capable of having great matches against the right opponents. That should've become abundantly clear against AJ Styles last year. In 2017, Reigns has continued his fine work.

The most recent example was a sterling effort with Samoa Joe on Raw that had fans on the edge of their seats. Those same people were gripped by Roman's matches with Braun Strowman at Fastlane and Payback; there's a case to be made that Reigns, as the more experienced headliner, carried Strowman too.

WrestleMania 33's main event with The Undertaker was a sticking point, but otherwise Reigns has had a fine year so far. He's fully deserving of the top spot he holds in WWE, regardless of what critics say.

Away from the ring, Reigns is routinely one of WWE's most powerful presences. Just listen to the way fans react (boos or not) when he's shown doing something throwaway like warming up backstage or walking through the corridor.
