Current Signature Move: Giant Swing

Though not a finisher per se, the Giant Swing is associated with Cesaro in WWE because he’s the only person who uses it. Back when he was featured more prominently, whenever he’d signal that someone was about to be swung, the crowd would wake up, and get excited because they’d want to see how many times Cesaro could spin his opponents.

This move was popular because Cesaro could either swing a lighter opponent with more revolutions, or a much bigger opponent a few times (including the Great Khali, for example). It’s not that this is a bad signature move; it’s just that Cesaro has fallen so badly that he desperately needs to convince the WWE’s top brass that people still like him.

As good as the Giant Swing is, there’s one move that does this ‘spinning’ gimmick much more effectively.

Suggested New Signature Move: the ‘UFO’

It’s an inverted airplane spin without hands.

If you listen to that crowd, they react to the move instantly, and the combination of strength, timing and technique to pull this move off successfully really speaks to Cesaro’s abilities. If he did this move instead of the Giant Swing in WWE, the reaction he’d get would be huge.

Maybe then he’d prove to Vince McMahon that he’s a much more popular Superstar than the boss is willing to admit.
