10 Big Changes Coming To WWE On Netflix
3. Reshuffling Of Talent
When SmackDown moved to FOX in 2019, WWE shifted its focus to the network program, relegating Raw – long the company’s flagship show – to secondary status.
We saw this on the first episode on FOX, when Brock Lesnar returned to win the WWE Championship. Even today, the blue brand boasts WWE’s two biggest stars, Roman Reigns and Cody Rhodes, and just saw the return of The Rock.
Once Raw begins airing from its new home on Netflix, there’s a very real possibility that WWE will move some star power over to Monday nights to try to generate more interest in the program. Perhaps it’ll be a permanent move for a few wrestlers, or maybe there will be a loose talent exchange to allow Bloodline-involved superstars to crossover.
Another possibility is that John Cena, who will embark on his final year as an active wrestler in 2025, will be a Raw-exclusive talent, thus making the red brand more of a must-see show (Cena was exclusive to SmackDown during his short run last year).
Either way, there’s a very good chance we’ll see an influx of top-tier wrestlers on Raw in the next few months.
