10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE Extreme Rules 2021

9. The Usos Drop The WWE Smackdown! Tag Team Championships

There is a good argument to be made that the Usos are the best tag team in WWE history.

Recency bias aside, they have racked up seven title reigns in their decade in WWE, and ever since they dropped the face paint and opened up the Uso Penitentiary, they have rivalled the New Day as the most dominant team in the WWE.

Having them drop the belts now would be foolish. The Street Profits, whilst a great act, have little momentum and this feud feels tame. With The Bloodline dominating Smackdown! Live, the show needs the imagery of the Usos stood behind The Tribal Chief, with gold over their shoulders as well.

Whilst the dissension amongst the Bloodline storyline seems to have simmered and both Usos have fallen in line, taking the belts off of Jimmy and Jey this quickly would be a mistake. The Bloodline needs to continue to dominate SmackDown until we approach the end of Reigns' run with the top belt. When that control begins to seep through Roman's fingers, the Usos can drop the belts before then breaking free from their tyrannical cousin.

Or, they could bin that long term payoff so they can make it rain blue cups from the ceiling.
