10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE WrestleMania 37

3. The Build Has Been Terrible

You could be forgiven for missing the fact that it's WrestleMania weekend. Oh sure, the Royal Rumble took place a number of weeks back and there's that big WrestleMania logo attached to the ceiling that is so big this year it feels like it's WWE's on-the-nose way of reminding us that WrestleMania is here, but very little of what has been happening between those ropes feels like it belongs in WrestleMania season.

We've already discussed the lack of star power and the thrown-together matches but the biggest problem about this year's event is easily the build... or lack thereof.

From the letdown of a way Sasha Banks and Bianca Belair's program has been booked to the fact that Riddle vs. Sheamus was given away for free on TV so that they could literally book the exact same match on the biggest show of the year only two weeks later, there has been a complete lack of interest on the part of the creative team when it comes to doing anything remotely logical.

The same could be said about their attempts to sell Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley's title match via underwhelming promos and, uh, King Corbin's involvement and their last-minute decision to have the Raw Women's Title program mirror the SmackDown Women's Title one.

The fact that they have only started pulling the trigger on programs like these when they had weeks to kick them off highlights the disconnect.

Maybe it's a good thing that the sign is so big because the build certainly ain't reminding you that it's WrestleMania season.
