10 Big Concerns Heading Into WWE WrestleMania Backlash

6. Braun Strowman Actually Becomes WWE Champion

No. Just no.

The WWE Championship scene has been in good hands over the past year and a bit thanks to Drew McIntyre and Bobby Lashley's enjoyable reigns. Hell, your writer even enjoyed the brief second stint The Miz had with the strap, culminating in that somewhat alright night of capers involving 'The A-Lister' avoiding Lashley before he eventually became the new champion.

Therefore, placing the belt on Braun Strowman, a man who has had one of the most tedious years for anyone in WWE which says more than enough, would be a completely absurd booking decision. His reign as Universal Champion last year surely rules him out of winning the thing here; it was anything but good.

That he managed to wangle his way into the WrestleMania rematch between McIntyre and defending champ Lashley is questionable enough. If he wins the whole thing, say goodbye to fine WWE Champions, and hello to absolute stinkers of promos and title defences. Seriously, that Braun became Universal Champion in the same year as Roman Reigns' current run is mind-boggling to think about. Two reigns with the same title, yet, they're both so, so far apart in terms of enjoyment.

It's WWE, though, and he's a big beefy boy who can flip trucks and rip steel cages apart. They would do it.
