10 Big Mistakes WWE Can't Afford To Make At Roadblock: End Of The Line

7. Sami Zayn Slays The Giant

Sami Zayn has really struggled since overcoming Kevin Owens at Battleground, but the past few weeks have brought real signs of improvement. Feeding him to Braun Strowman isn’t ideal, but it’s a logical use for one of Raw’s most natural underdogs, it gets him on television, and if WWE play their cards right this weekend, both men should emerge looking strong.

David and Goliath will wrestle on Roadblock’s undercard, and the 10-minute time limit makes for an interesting addition. It allows WWE to end the angle without handing either man a conclusive loss, and the most logical conclusion is Sami lasting the duration without getting pinned or submitted. Strowman can dominate the match, look like a beast, and Sami will look tough, resilient, and gutsy without needing to be defeated.

The absolute worst thing WWE can do here is have Sami go over, however. Braun’s looked great lately, but his dominance hasn’t gone on for long enough to make the win mean anything. The company would be sacrificing their next big monster heel prematurely, and while Sami might get a nice momentum boost, a win over Strowman will win so much more should his first loss come many months from now.
