10 Big Names Missing From WWE Raw 25

2. CM Punk

In any discussion of absentees from any significant WWE event, CM Punk's name has to be mentioned at some stage. The anti-heroic rebel is, without doubt, the superstar that fans want to return more than any other and an appearance from the Chicago-born performer would certainly have given Raw 25 a memorable moment that fans would be talking about for years to come.

WWE has proven it isn't shy about referencing CM Punk, with his famous 'pipe bomb' promo from June 2011 named in second place in the company's countdown of the Top 25 Raw Moments, which aired on WWE Network last week.

Unlike most of the names on this list, it was not a surprise when CM Punk did not show up in New York for Raw 25. However, his music sounding over the speakers in the Barclays Center is the only thing that could have improved upon the pops for Stone Cold Steve Austin, Vince McMahon and D-Generation X.

WWE and Punk are presumably still a very long way from agreeing terms for a return, but it's certainly something that would be a guaranteed money maker for both parties.
