2. Does John Cena Deserve Another Title Shot?
In general terms, there's no way fifteen-time world champion John Cena deserves another title shot, especially so soon after that title vs title match at SummerSlam. But this seems to be the kayfabe corner the WWE are painting themselves into, by constantly having John beat the current champ in moderately straightforward fashion. It took a single Attitude Adjustment to see off Rollins at Night Of Champions, and one to beat him in their rematch on Monday night. Cena clearly has Rollins' number in the ring, so (in purely kayfabe terms) why shouldn't he be considered for another title shot? The problem here is an age old one. For a while, the WWE seemed to be coming to terms with the fact that they couldn't continue to make Cena look unbeatably strong all the time, for the good of their batch of upcoming new stars. He put over CM Punk and Daniel Bryan cleanly, a major development in the landscape of the company. Since then, the WWE seem to have regressed. Cena handily beat Bray Wyatt at WrestleMania 30, pummelled Rusev at 'Mania 31, and is currently pinning the current WWE Champion whenever he damn well feels like. He needs to be reigned in fast, or at least booked as a transitional champion to get his record-breaking 16th reign out of the way.
