10 Big Questions From WWE Raw (21 Sept)

3. Why Is Big Show Getting Pushed?

At Night Of Champions, it was announced that Lesnar will take on Big Show prior to his climactic Hell In A Cell match with the Undertaker, a match confirmed by Show's post-match promo on this week's Raw. There's no way the giant can hope to beat Brock, especially with that Taker match following so shortly afterwards, but it should raise his stock for a few weeks at the very least. This begs the question: why? Why on Earth does Big Show need the rub? Historically, he and Brock have feuded before, but fans are hardly clamouring to see this again. We all know Lesnar can F5 Show - he's one of the most terrifyingly strong men in all of wrestling - but the announce team are probably still going to go crazy when it happens. There's no suspense to this match up, nor any reason for it. Surely it would have been better for the WWE to give a moderately established modern star the chance to face Lesnar; they wouldn't have gone over (of course), but would surely have benefitted from a narrow, hard-fought loss to the beast. Ironically, Cesaro could well have been the perfect candidate for such a role, but looks to have been passed over yet again.
