10 Big Questions From WWE Raw (28 Sept)

1. When Did WWE Get A H.R. Department?

The Authority, Kane

Last night on Raw, Triple H and Stephanie McMahon introduced Kane and the world to Ashley, from Human Resources, who was going to conduct an investigation based on an "anonymous" complaint about his capability to function as Director of Operations. This led to several fun skits involving Kane and Seth Rollins, but eventually Ashley determined that Kane was "of sound mind" which honestly doesn't sound like a conclusion she's qualified to arrive at.

The big question from this week's Raw is, however, where have the H.R. department been for the last thirty-five years, and what did they make of the craziness that is the WWE. There have been countless instances of sexual harrassment, people have been entered into indentured servitude for other wrestlers, and  the owner of the company has made people kiss his bare buttocks on live television on multiple occasions.

It's one thing to joke about "exposing the business" but you can't introduce something as normal as a H.R. department into something as fantastical as professional wrestling without it blowing the whole gag. Suddenly, in the cold light of day, WWE looks incredibly silly when people start talking about things like H.R. and now it's only a matter of time before we meet Ted in payroll or David in legal.
