2. Is Paige The Worst Character In Wrestling Right Now?
Last week during Charlotte's championship celebration, Paige ruined the Divas Champion's night by grabbing the microphone and dropping some harsh truths on the entire division. She called out Summer Rae and Lana for being too involved elsewhere to care about the division, and in a line of the night, asked just where in the world is Natalya during this "so-called" Divas Revolution.
Unfortunately, like others before her, Paige resorted to speculation that Brie and Nikki Bella only have the status in WWE that they do because of who they date and then doubled down on it hard last night on Raw. It's something that AJ Lee brought up in her "pipe bombshell" years earlier, and only serves to validate the opinions of the sexist Bella haters who feel it appropriate to invalidate a woman's talent, and reduce them to who they choose to date/marry.
A lot of people will read this and say "Oh well she's a heel, you're not supposed to like her" but if encourages hatred and sexism, then it has no place in professional wrestling, or anywhere for that matter. Women in wrestling face enough misogyny from the male wrestlers, commentators and crowds that it doesn't need to start coming from within the division as well.
