10 Big Questions From WWE SummerSlam 2015

1. Was The Finish Of The Undertaker's Win Over Brock Lesnar A Smart Decision?

The biggest subject that fans are debating about with regards to SummerSlam is the controversial win by The Undertaker over Brock Lesnar. It wasn't clean and it ended with a finish that isn't very common at all. When Lesnar had Undertaker in the Kimura arm lock, Undertaker was tapping out. The live camera didn't pick it up and the ref Charles Robinson didn't see it either. The timekeeper apparently did (how?) because the bell rang, which is when the chaos began. People wondered what happened while Undertaker capitalized with the Hell's Gate submission, which led to Lesnar passing out. The ref gave the win to Undertaker while replays showed after the match that he did tap out. After thinking about it for most of the day, I don't think it was a smart decision. What they were going for was a disputed finish that would keep Lesnar looking strong while also not making Undertaker look weak. What Undertaker did with the low blow was heelish and it's not like he's going to be a heel going forward because he's loved too much. The concern with a finish like that is insulting the audience by having the second straight PPV end without a clean or decisive winner. Remember that at Battleground there was no result for the main event at all - it just ended when Undertaker showed up. Why should we care about main event matches if the finishes are going to be cheap? While it's important to tell interesting stories, fans also want winners and losers, especially in the biggest matches at a huge event like SummerSlam. It was a cheap ending to a match that couldn't end any other way, at least from WWE's perspective. Right or wrong, the follow up will be very important and could lead to another match between them at WrestleMania 32 where this rivalry can end once and for all.
