Emma was a one of the most popular Divas in NXT; the crowd loved her and she had their full support in everything she did. From her sweet smile to her clumsiness to her silly dancing, Emma entertained the fans every time she performed for them. The fact is, they loved her for it. So when the time came to bring her up to the main roster, the move seemed to make perfect sense. After all, no other Diva on Raw or SmackDown was running a gimmick similar to hers so she appeared to have plenty of room to shine. Emma seemed poised to make an impact on WWE programming. However, something went wrong with the move. The Raw and SmackDown audiences did not accept her as readily as they had in NXT and she barely got any response at all. Before long, it became apparent that her character was not quite ready for prime time in the company. This was a definite miscalculation on WWE's part and when she was released, only to be brought back in the same day following a shoplifting incident? That was all the proof many fans needed to believe WWE really had no idea of how to handle this potential breakout Diva.
