10 Big Talking Points From WWE Raw (Aug 29)
7. Bayley's Earned It... The Club, Not So Much
The 9:00 hour opened up with a six-person mixed tag match, as The New Day and Bayley joined forces to take on The Club and Dana Brooke. The Club has been looking for another shot at the WWE Tag Team Titles, while Bayley has wanted a match of her own with Dana Brooke's mentor, WWE Women's Champion Charlotte.
The match was a long, heated encounter, and when The New Day took out The Club, it came down to Bayley and Brooke. Brooke tried to pick up the win with a roll-up, but Bayley pinned her after a Bayley-to-Belly suplex. Charlotte, who was doing guest commentary, wasn't happy.
There's no question that Bayley - who's pinned Dana Brooke in back-to-back matches - has earned a shot at the Women's Championship, but what about The Club? Sure, they got a DQ win over The New Day at SummerSlam, but last week, Big E pinned Karl Anderson, and this week, The Club came up short again. How have they earned another chance to dethrone the champions? In any event, that's sure to be the match at Clash of Champions, which makes little sense.
