5. More Cruiserweights Coming!
Once again, Raw played host to vignettes for the upcoming Cruiserweight division, which will begin on the show in just three weeks. This time, there were three names mentioned: Tommaso Ciampa, Cedric Alexander, and Johnny Gargano.
Ciampa and Gargano come as little surprise, given that both are under WWE contract - it does, however, raise the question of whether or not Team DIY will continue to compete on NXT (after all, there aren't that many teams on the brand).
Alexander is a new signing, though his joining WWE full-time has been rumored since he left Ring of Honor in May. The star has been working for EVOLVE since then, and his second-round match against Kota Ibushi in the Cruiserweight Classic has been the most-praised bout of the entire tournament.
The seven stars announced for the division thus far have made for a very strong backbone for the weight class. In the weeks to come, we'll undoubtedly learn more names for the division - and maybe we'll even find out how a champion will be crowned.
