10 Big-Time Wrestling Debuts That Were Totally Wasted

9. Big Show (WWF)

When: St. Valentine's Day Massacre 1999.

Why It Was A Waste: Certain billionaire owners with well-coiffed hair must've been licking their chops after snaring The Giant from WCW's midst. Vince McMahon probably believed that he was about to school those idiots in Atlanta on how to book a giant properly. After all, he'd done a sterling job with Andre.

Yeah, the rebranded Big Show didn't get off to a great start.

It's hardly a negative that Show debuted during a cage match between McMahon and Steve Austin. They were two of the biggest stars in wrestling, and he was surely going to make an impact straight away. Show did; he hurled Austin through the cage wall, and accidentally caused Vince to lose.

This hilariously-thick intro would become a commentary on Show's entire WWF/WWE run. He should've been a bigger success than he was, but that wasted debut set the tone for all the nearly moments, laziness and comedy that was to come.
