6. Chris Jericho (Face)
WWE look to be pulling Chris Jericho and Kevin Owens apart at the moment, but there’s life in the team yet. Roman Reigns & Seth Rollins need something to keep them occupied until the Royal Rumble, so there’s a strong chance that the best friends’ current tensions are all a ruse, and they’ll eventually reconvene to thwart the two former Shield members.
They’re going to split sooner or later, however, and when it happens, Jericho must emerge as a huge babyface. He has completely transformed his career in 2016, and while his character’s still a complete douchebag, he’s an incredibly endearing douchebag. Jericho’s appearance draws huge pops from the crowd, and The List, “STUPID IDIOT!”, and his glut of new catchphrases always get the fans buzzing.
He’s Raw’s most entertaining performer, and it wouldn’t take much effort to parlay this into a face turn. If he were to put Kevin Owens on The List a few weeks from now, Jericho would immediately be one of the company’s biggest babyfaces. All Jericho has to do is switch targets from Raw’s babyfaces to the brand’s heels, and the switch will be complete. Besides, he and Owens have excellent chemistry as allies: imagine how great the promo battles would be if they were rivals again...
