10 Big WWE Problems WrestleMania Season Will Expose

4. Lack Of Long-Term Planning

Long term planning was one of the things that made WWE so great back in the day. Stone Cold Steve Austin once said that every character's story was planned out three years in advance. Nowadays, stories are barely even planned out three hours in advance, with shows often rewritten multiple times on the day of Raw. This is just part of WWE's culture now, they chop and change ideas all the time. It is a 50/50 booking style which has diluted their characters, and provided few worthy narratives for WrestleMania season. In fairness, this year's show hasn't been helped by injuries, which meant the planning has been even more limited. Originally, Brock Lesnar versus The Undertaker was a proposed match, but then that was moved to Hell In A Cell, and now 'Taker doesn't even have a clear adversary. Creative's weaknesses are definitely going to come to the fore in the coming weeks. How can you get into a feud that is booked on the fly?
