Batista returning to WWE in 2016, even if it is just for a one-off segment, is a distinct possibility. He's on great terms with the company, and is well-connected with the management. Furthermore, both he and WWE would benefit from his doing a segment. Say that he returns around the release of one of his films, he'd get publicity for his feature, and WWE would get a buzz from having one of their big stars back for the night. Could he return for an actual match? It isn't impossible, but it is unlikely. Then again, he's 47 this year, so there's also that "now or never" aspect. And he could do very big business with Brock Lesnar, which could tempt him back into the sqaured circle. At the very least, for a segment, some sort of WWE/Batista hook-up has a good chance of happening.
