10 Big WWE Returns That Could Happen In 2018
5. Rey Mysterio
Perennial fan favourite Rey Mysterio is another one for whom the window of opportunity for one last WWE run is forever being narrowed by the passage of time.
Unlike many others though, the former WCW star isn't exactly wedded to Vince McMahon. In fact, he's been happily performing for Lucha Underground since his departure a couple of years ago, working one or two indie dates (including in the UK) during his down-time.
It doesn't take a genius to figure out that a schedule of this kind is far less punishing on a forty-something father-of-two with a history of long-term injuries than the one that could await him in WWE.
On the other hand, it is undeniably the world's biggest wrestling promotion, and if Rey fancies getting back under the bright lights before hanging up his boots, now - with a host of talented cruiserweights awaiting him - could be as good a time as any.
