10 Big WWE Returns That Could Happen In 2021

4. Ronda Rousey

This feels like another case of 'when' as opposed to 'if'. From a simple storyline point of view, how can Ronda stay silent knowing that she was robbed of her WWE RAW Women's Championship on the grandest stage of them all? Her shoulders weren't down for the three count, the entire world saw that. To make things even more galling, Becky Lynch went from strength to strength, dominating the women's division for an entire year.

From a business standpoint, there remains a lot of money on the table for Ronda Rousey in WWE. New stars, new matches, new feuds and new stories await, with the potential for many more WrestleMania main events and the responsibilities that come with them. Ronda Rousey is one of the most influential and important WWE wrestlers of this century, and she achieved all of that in just one year.

There is plenty more in Rowdy's tank. 2021 should see her return to the squared circle, ready to rip apart the limbs of a new generation of stars, not to mention those who have been elevated in her absence.

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
