10 Big WWE Reveals Nobody Honestly Cared About
1. Hornswoggle Is The Anonymous Raw GM
Sometimes it feels like WWE has great ideas, executes them poorly, and then decides to just give up on the payoff. One such case was the whole anonymous general manager angle that played out on Raw between June 2010 and July 2011, and then again in 2012.
Week after week, Monday Night's broadcast would be interrupted by an annoying beeping sound, only for heel commentator Michael Cole to leap up out of his seat at the broadcast booth and proclaim "Ladies and gentlemen, I have an e-mail from the anonymous Raw GM".
The angle ran for such a long time, that it gave us fans plenty of time to speculate as to who was behind these interruptions. Was it Cole himself? Could it be Eric Bischoff in hiding? Or did WWE have bigger plans for the eventual 'big reveal?'.
Well, it turns out the anonymous GM was actually Hornswoggle, the former Leprechaun, who had been hiding under the ring all along sending instructions via his laptop. Very well worded instructions to boot! The whole thing was a gigantic flop, proving once again that WWE had no clue when it came to long-term booking in the modern era. A bit like when Hornswoggle turned out to be Vince's illegitmate love child.
