Even the Attitude Era had its fair share of dud moments, but for the most part the storytelling in the major angles was pretty top notch. That's why it came as such a let down when they botched the 'Greater Power' story back in 1999.

During one of the biggest boom periods in the history of the company, the mysterious angle in which The Undertaker began a reign of terror, which included torturing the entire McMahon family, all at the behest of some supreme being should have catapulted them way above WCW in the ratings, but instead fell flatter than a fart in a church.

Jake Roberts and even Hulk Hogan were names thrown about as possible culprits in the story, because who else could possibly want to torment Vince McMahon, and his newly found frenemy Steve Austin more than his former talents?

Well, it turns out the answer was Vince McMahon, and that's not a typo. If you weren't around in June 1999 then it may seem difficult to swallow that Vince was somehow in a feud with himself, but as it turned out, the owner of the WWE was willing to do pretty much anything he could to screw over 'Stone Cold', who ultimately ended up being the victim of this whole scam. Well, 'Stone Cold' and the rest of the McMahon clan.
