10 Biggest AEW Scandals

6. Matt Hardy's Head Injury

The previous entry was a pathetic, needle-dicked energy attempt to engineer scandals because some adult babies cannot handle the idea of a wrestling promotion that tends to generate critical acclaim existing.

Somebody writing "AEW was really good last night" is somehow so infuriating to these people that the pacifier stuck between their lips is not enough to stem the tide of tears that cascade down their trembling lips. They throw tantrums and, beneath their anonymous avatars, all but confirm their total lack of a fulfilling life by logging on and tweeting through it.

The irony here is that, if they weren't operating in such transparent bad faith, it might actually mean something when AEW is rightly criticised - as they were during All Out 2020.

The Broken Rules (Last Man Standing) match between Matt Hardy and Sammy Guevara was halted when Hardy, having cleared the table he was meant to bump through, turned purple and was knocked loopy for almost a full minute. Hardy appeared to shake off the effects of the head injury, compelling AEW's medical team to allow the match to restart, but the left hand didn't know what the right hand was doing. An abundance of caution should have been exercised. Nobody would have given a sh*t if AEW would have had to renege upon a stipulation.

Tony Khan implemented an improved two-way communication system to prevent such a dangerous scene from happening again, but that it happened once was a huge indictment.
