7. Angry Fans Attempt To Make The Dominos Fall

As part of the Labours of Jericho, MJF recruited death match folk hero Nick Gage to slice up his arch-nemesis.

It was a fabulous bit of business; outside of some clumsy, immersion-breaking assembly in the first half of the match, Jericho and Gage worked a gruesome, undiluted version of the latter's speciality, which Jericho won in part by using his superior athleticism. He expressed this with an awesome hurricanrana executed on a pane of glass. The finish was incredible, too; Jericho misted Gage in a spot that both protected Gage's aura and was all the more awesome for how out-of-character it was.

This wasn't the story in the aftermath; in an amusing coincidence, just as Gage teased using the pizza cutter, an advert for Dominos screened in picture-in-picture. Two things happened subsequently: some people had a bit of fun with the happenstance, whereas some deranged WWE fans grassed AEW up to the chain. Dominos issued a statement claiming that the company was "assessing its presence" on the show, leading to fears of a destructive chain reaction.

There was no mass advertiser exodus because, and this is wild, making money is of more importance than selling a made-up bad faith moral panic that was always going to go away very quickly.
