So very much has been made about David Arquette and his reign of terror as World Championship Wrestling champion. It was quite obviously a shambles move, a booking decision that went a long way to putting the deepest nails into that particularly sad cadaver. Arquette himself gets a lot of slack for the mess, despite it quite clearly not being his decision.

By all accounts, the former WCW-champion is a big fan of professional wrestling, and not just because of his illustrious career. Unbeknownst to many, Arquette donated his entire WCW pay-check to the families of Owen Hart, Brian Pillman, Darren Drozdov and Bobby Duncum Jr. and was entirely against the decision to strap him, clearly aware of the legacy of the Big Gold Belt.

Arquette's latest excursion into fandom has come from his lobbying to get a slot on a future series of Lucha Underground as a drunken manager. Who wouldn't love to see that?

Born in the middle of Wales in the middle of the 1980's, John can't quite remember when he started watching wrestling but he has a terrible feeling that Dino Bravo was involved. Now living in Prague, John spends most of his time trying to work out how Tomohiro Ishii still stands upright. His favourite wrestler of all time is Dean Malenko, but really it is Repo Man. He is the author of 'An Illustrated History of Slavic Misery', the best book about the Slavic people that you haven't yet read. You can get that and others from www.poshlostbooks.com.
