Kurt Angle has been known to work injured throughout his entire career. I mean, come on, he won a gold medal in the Olympics with a broken freaking neck. However, his recent knee injury caused many problems for him and for Impact Wrestling due to Angle being forced to compete while injured or his insistence in doing so. Earlier this year, Sting had already left TNA and Jeff Hardy was unable to travel overseas due to his own legal issues, so Angle put off his knee surgery in order to work the Impact tapings in the United Kingdom. In Glasgow, Scotland, an angle was shot where Angle was destroyed in the ring by a steel chair attack, an angle that supposed to get him off television to allow him to have his knee operation. However, the next day, the new head of Impact creative John Gaburick ordered Angle to do a run-in on the show. Angle reportedly went nuts on Gaburick, calling him names and refusing to do the segment. This was completely out of character for Angle, as he is usually known as fairly easy going backstage and is always willing to work through injuries.
