While wrestlers are certainly susceptible to injury now and then, it's hard to see one of your heroes broken down by the business and possibly permanently disabled by the sport that made them so popular. That fear resonated in fans when, in early 2014, photographs started surfacing of Kurt Angle in a wheelchair in airports and at TNA live events. During Impact Wrestling's tour of the United Kingdom earlier this year, Angle was attempting to work through a knee injury that was severely hampering his work and would be the reason he was finally pulled off of television. It is unknown if this wheelchair was designed to help sell the angle of the knee injury for Impact Wrestling television but many fans who attended the UK tour said that Angle appeared in extremely rough shape and seemed to be in pain almost constantly. If Angle was indeed selling an injury, then reports of how rough he looked were sadly misplaced. However, if the wheelchair was required because of his knee injury or any other combination of health problems, then Angle needs to seriously consider walking away from the wrestling business before he is confined to that chair permanently.
