10 Biggest Criticisms Of The WWE Right Now

8. Three Hour Raws

Between the WWE Network, Main Event, Smackdown, Superstars, NXT, and Raw, the amount of wrestling available to watch has never been higher. The biggest offender though is Monday Night Raw which clocks in at more than three hours including their overrun. Three hours is just an insane amount of time to ask fans to commit to your product every week. Proving that "those who do not remember the past are doomed to repeat it", WWE has forgotten that WCW Nitro moved to three hours during the height of their power. As is the case today, three hours was a complete failure because fans simply got burned out on too much wrestling. There was too much down time between matches, too much filler, and too many commercials to sit though...sound familiar? Even with a monopoly on the wrestling business and the most talented roster even held by a wrestling promotion, it seems as though WWE struggles to fill three hours of programming a week. Without a doubt, there will be a 20 minute portion of Raw that features replays, promos, and shots of wrestlers walking down the hallways. Why am I wasting my time watching Xavier Woods warming up in the back, sitting through a commercial, and then coming back only to see a replay of stuff I saw an hour ago? There are too many opportunities to change the channel and too many other entertainment options on television. Unfortunately, WWE will be very hesitant to cut Raw back to two hours because they will lose an hour of ad revenue. Instead, fans will be expected to dedicate essentially their entire evening to a wrestling show that might bore you to death.
