10 Biggest Failed WWE Pushes
6. Test
Early 2000s star Test had pretty much all of the raw tools you need to make it to the top of professional wrestling, among them ability in the ring and a look that makes Vince McMahon weak at the knees.
He even became embroiled in one of the Attitude Era's biggest storylines when he fell in kayfabe love with the chairman's daughter, a push that pretty much stopped dead in its tracks when it emerged that she had married Triple H behind his stupid back.
In the years that followed, Test struggled to get over the humiliation associated with his marriage that never was. His character became intensely angry and brooding, even when he had Stacy Keibler on his arm, and that made his promos and matches kind of dull and predictable as a result.
A final push in the revamped ECW followed in 2006, but by that point the guy's credibility had been almost completely shot. With the likes of Bobby Lashley now on the scene, his body no longer held the same currency, and it wasn't long before he was surplus to requirements.
