10 Biggest Flops In WWE History
5. Mordecai
Wrestling on several house shows and dark matches in the early 2000s, Kevin Fertig had been on WWE's radar for quite some time by 2004. The Tennessean had become somewhat of a regular on the live circuit in 2003, frequently teaming with his OVW partner, Tyson Tomko. That all changed when he finally received his big break under the gimmick of Mordecai.
Dressed in white from head to tow - including white hair, a white beard and even white eyebrows - Mordecai was essentially the anti-Undertaker. After weeks of vignettes, he debuted at Judgement Day 2004, beginning his crusade to rid the WWE of sin. Sadly, the gimmick itself was banished instead and Mordecai was gone just over a month later.
Despite only making three in-ring appearances during his short run on TV, Mordecai actually wrestled around 20 matches for WWE, defeating the likes of Paul London, Shannon Moore and Scotty 2 Hotty on the house show circuit. In fact, his only loss came to Rey Mysterio in his final appearance on SmackDown.
Fertig would resurface for a two year run in ECW as Kevin Thorn but was gone for good by 2008. Since leaving WWE, the Mordecai gimmick has popped up a number of times on the indie scene, even as recently as this year.
