10 Biggest Flops In WWE History
6. Matt Morgan
When you run down the list of attributes Vince McMahon looks for in a star, it's fair to say that Matt Morgan ticks most, if not all of those boxes. He's big, he's built to destroy, and he's bad to the bone. Unfortunately, the gimmick he was saddled with was also bad to the bone - and not in the way they intended.
Initially debuting in 2003 as part of Brock Lesnar's Survivor Series team, Morgan looked set to be the next 'Next Big Thing', under the guidance of Paul Heyman. At seven feet tall, with a muscular physique and decent in-ring ability, Morgan seemingly had it all. Incredibly, he failed to make an impact and was booked to lose most of his high profile matches.
After the 2004 Royal Rumble match, Morgan was taken off TV for re-tuning... sadly, that tune was the sound of a stutter. The athletic giant was lumbered with a speech impediment gimmick and, within months, he was gone for good.
By contrast, Morgan's time in TNA was far superior and he was booked as the dominant athlete he was. Billed as 'The Blueprint', Morgan rubbed shoulders with the likes of Hulk Hogan and Ric Flair. The seven footer even had a notable feud with Kurt Angle, culminating in a high-profile match at Bound For Glory 2009.
