10 Biggest Heat Magnets In Wrestling Right Now

5. Eddie Kingston

CM Punk
AEW

Eddie Kingston himself has a certain reputation in the business.

It's almost unfair to his opponents because every last one of them is perceived as the heel by default. That's how beloved Kingston is.

A genius pro wrestler, Kingston will commit to a bit for years and years and years to get it over, depicting himself as much stubborn and aggressive as he is believable. He doesn't feel like the realest man in wrestling because of that New York accent alone. He puts in the work. Across various podcast cameos, even in tiny asides, he will not drop that f*ckin' bone. As it transpired, he worked with Claudio Castagnoli and was snapped enjoying a nice meal with him not too long ago.

All of which is to state that Eddie cultivates this reputation, brilliantly, because it's part of the job - but he has had legitimate beef with several peers and promoters throughout his career. He remains in a blood feud with Chris Hero. He for a long time never stayed employed in the same place for long, with the rule-proving exception that is CHIKARA.

Beyond the Guevara situation, even recently, he out of nowhere volunteered that he didn't like Jonathan Gresham's vibe. Candid, upfront, temperamental: even the self-professed reformed Kingston is one of the game's preeminent wind-up merchants.
