7. Reigns Misses Out… Again! - WrestleMania 34

Fast forward three years and it looked like Reigns was finally going to make good on his promise to beat Lesnar for a world title in the main event of WrestleMania.

Reigns had won an Elimination Chamber match to earn this opportunity (another famously popular decision) and looked set to unseat Lesnar and end his year-long Universal Championship run.

Instead, he and Brock had an absolutely horrible match that he ended up losing after taking six F5s.

On one hand, fans were glad that the hated Roman wasn't now the champion. On the other, this had been telegraphed as the outcome for months, so why had WWE wasted all of their time to then not even pull the trigger?

As it turns out, Vince McMahon got cold feet about putting the belt on Reigns after he heard that fans were still not cheering him just one week out from Mania. Instead, it was speculated that Reigns' coronation would be at the upcoming Greatest Royal Rumble in front of a more receptive Saudian Arabian crowd.

This didn't happen either.

Reigns finally got his big win over Lesnar at SummerSlam, but that was too little too late.
