10 Biggest Missed Opportunities From The Undertaker's WWE Career
4. A Longer World Title Reign In His Prime
The Undertaker is a rare breed of WWE superstar in that he actually hit his prime towards the end of his full-time career.
Yes, shocking as it may seem to you, he was in his physical peak in his 40s. This came between 2006 and 2009 (during which he sported an incredible physique in 2007) and it saw him crank out almost all of the barn-burners that usually top his 'Greatest Matches' lists. He won the World Heavyweight Championship twice during this period (in fantastic matches) but both of those reigns were only around 30 days long.
The first loss was unavoidable as he suffered an injury and needed time off, but the second - which saw him stripped of the title by Vickie Guerrero - felt completely unnecessary as his program with Edge continued well after this.
He would finally get a longer World Title reign (his longest championship reign to date) in late 2009 - when he was just outside of his prime - but it felt like a completely missed opportunity that they never allowed him to hold SmackDown's primary belt when he was better (and arguably more popular) than ever.
