10 Biggest Moments In The History Of WWE Backlash
7. 'Where To, Stephanie?' (1999)
The original Backlash pay per view (titled Backlash: In Your House) could be viewed as the car-crash Attitude Era in a nutshell. Matches included Mankind vs. Big Show in a Boiler Room Brawl, The Acolytes and Mideon vs. The Brood, and a main event of heel Rock vs. babyface Steve Austin - with Shane McMahon as special guest referee, naturally.
However, the most memorable moment from the show didn't come in that main event, but rather after it. With Austin celebrating in the ring, we cut suddenly to backstage where Stephanie McMahon was awaiting her father in a limo. Suddenly, to her horror, the driver's divide was lowered to show none other than Undertaker in the front seat.
The leader of the Ministry then delivered a line which has gone down as one of the most unintentionally hilarious in wrestling history: "where to Stephanie?" - and one of the Attitude Era's most over-the-top angles was born.
