There had been countless weapon-based brawls down throughout the years, but the original TLC match set the bar high, very high, for what could be achieved. A second bout was contested at Wrestlemania XVII in 2001, and received similar praise, but how did the third one fare? Taking place on Smackdown just a few months after 'Mania, Chris Jericho and Chris Benoit put their WWE Tag Titles on the line against Edge & Christian, The Dudley Boys and The Hardy Boys, and Anaheim, California held their breath for 20+ minutes, realising they were watching something special. The toll these matches would take on the men involved makes you wonder if it was all worth it, but it's hard not to get a chill up the spine when looking back at the mayhem.
