Seth Rollins re-injured his surgically repaired knee during an attack by Samoa Joe on Raw a few weeks ago. This immediately put his scheduled match with Triple H in jeopardy, and with Rollins leaving the arena on crutches, the initial signs didn’t look good. It was soon revealed that Rollins would miss just 6-8 weeks of action, however, and that there was a strong chance he’d make it back in time for WrestleMania.

We should learn more when Seth appears on Raw next week, but WWE reportedly expect him to be ready in time. Despite their optimism, there’s a very real chance that The Architect will miss out on his second WrestleMania in a row, meaning that his long overdue showdown with Triple H may have to wait.

There’s a chance Rollins might not face The Game, even if he is cleared to return. Rumours suggest that Triple H could use Joe as a surrogate to replace him in the match, which would make sense. Joe’s relationship with Hunter remains unclear at the moment, but he was originally pegged to face Rollins at Fastlane.

Everything hinges on his recovery, but the Rollins situation is full of variables at the moment.
