10 Biggest "Out Of Left Field" WWE Booking Decisions

10. Brock Lesnar Ends The Streak (2014)

Prior to WrestleMania XXX, there were but three certainties in life: death, taxes and The Undertaker winning at the grandest event of all. Then along came Brock Lesnar and changed everything fans thought they understood about the industry. In one of the most shocking moments in wrestling history, Lesnar dropped The Phenom with a third F5 and pinned his shoulders to the mat for a count of three. Fans stood in awe, their jaws dropped. A deafening silence falling over the 70,000-plus fans inside the SuperDome. No one could believe what they had seen, if only because it had come out left field. Nothing about the way the feud was booked to that point suggested that The Beast would be the first man to defeat Undertaker at WrestleMania. Most expected the legendary competitor to bowl over Lesnar and extend his undefeated streak to 22-0, preserving his streak for one more year. But WWE shocked the audience in an era where doing so is nearly impossible, thanks to the Internet and backstage leaks. The decision brought about the end of an era, as well as Undertaker's drawing power in relation to The Showcase of the Immortals, leaving many to wonder what the point was.
