Calling Dolph Ziggler the "Sell God" (or Sell Gawd) is an affectionate term that some people on the internet use to describe him. Ziggler's a tremendous athlete that will go out of his way to oversell a move. That's what the whole "show off" name is about. He's great at doing the basic stuff, but he's also capable of doing so much more. Ziggler's the kind of guy that will take a monkey flip spot out of the corner and do a flip just for the hell of it. When Sheamus nails guys with his Brogue Kick finisher they usually just collapse. In Ziggler's case he might spin around for a bit before collapsing to the mat below looking like a wobbly fish. He's great at it. We love him for it. There's a personal story about Ziggler too. In March of 2012, I was at a live event in London, Ontario that had a main event of CM Punk & Kofi Kingston as the babyface team against the heel duo of Chris Jericho and Dolph Ziggler. Of course the babyfaces won. After Punk & Kingston won, they greeted the fans at ringside. However, Ziggler and Jericho didn't leave right away. Normally in a main event the heels will leave so the faces can celebrate. Not here. Jericho and Ziggler laid on the mat for about ten minutes. A lot of the fans left, but as you can see in the photo below a lot of us stayed. By the time we got up we were heckling them and laughing about it. Just another example of how overselling can really be an entertaining part of a show. It's definitely not a negative thing.
