10 Biggest Promises WWE Broke In 2019

What Was Promised: The entire wrestling world was buzzing when news broke in late-June that Paul Heyman and Eric Bischoff would be assuming roles as Executive Directors of Raw and SmackDown respectively. It sounded mega, and exactly the kind of creative injection the company needed to help stave off competition from AEW.

How They Broke It: There's been no noticeable improvement to WWE television, and Bischoff isn't even with the promotion anymore. All that excitement about Heyman's booking style, his propensity for giving young talent a chance and his finger-on-the-pulse creativity amounted to Ricochet getting a brief push.

Meanwhile, over on SmackDown, the Bisch didn't even really get started before his ass was sent packing and he was back to focusing full-time on his podcast.

It's almost like the announcement took a leaf out of Daniel Bryan's book and didn't happen. There was no measurable change to the product in the short-term, and the shockwaves of all that social media fapping aren't being felt at all in December.
