10 Biggest Promises WWE Broke In 2019

3. A "Guaranteed" Title Change

What Was Promised: 24 hours after both had won respective WWE and Universal Titles at WrestleMania, Kofi Kingston and Seth Rollins proposed an epic tussle on the 8 April Raw. It'd be "Winner Takes All" in the main event; one man would leave with both top belts and trump the other as the real World Champion.

Fans promptly lost their minds.

How They Broke It: They should've known better. Less than five minutes into Kofi vs. Seth, The Bar hit the ring and things magically turned a tag-team bout pitting Kingston & Rollins vs. Sheamus & Cesaro. A fine match, but not exactly what was promised, and one that was never going to appease fans who had been assured of a title change.

People chanted for AEW, bust out the now-useless CM Punk chants and cried out that WWE's teasing was "bullsh*t". The writers somehow succeeded in getting red hot babyfaces Kingston and Rollins (at the time) booed out of the building.
