10 Biggest Promises WWE Broke In 2021

1. NXT Is “Triple H’s Baby”

...until it's not.

Vince McMahon and Bruce Prichard performed quite the run in on Triple H's brand, and their influence has changed it immeasurably. NXT's popular blend of ROH-style indy wrestling and counterculture edge has been replaced by the polarising product known as NXT 2.0, and some fans are p*ssed about it.

This transformation flies in the face of what people have been told about NXT for years. "It's Triple H's baby" and, "NXT is a small test market for Trips to flex his management muscles before taking over from Vince someday" are both phrases you'll have heard from other fans and industry critics alike.

Apparently, they weren't true.

NXT 2.0 is nothing like the pulsating show Hunter proudly produced, pre-makeover. It's more like the original reality show from 2010-2012 with some wrestling chucked in, to be honest. Triple H's toes have been firmly stepped on, and there's no going back now.
