10 Biggest Promises WWE Broke In 2021

6. Randy Orton's "Permanent Burns"

No, that's not Dick 'The Destroyer' Beyer up there. It's one Randy Orton. The current RK-Bro man temporarily sported a mask/some bandages that looked like an old wrestling mask after Alexa Bliss tossed a fireball in his face at Fastlane. Afterwards, WWE's announcers claimed that Randall had suffered "permanent facial scarring and burns".

Or not.

Orton literally wore the mask for a few appearances post-fireball chaos. By the time WrestleMania's blowoff match against Bray Wyatt's 'Fiend' rolled around though? Yeah, he was perfectly fine and showed no signs whatsoever of any "permanent scarring".

Mr. RKO out of nowhere was actually back to his typically-handsome best for the biggest pay-per-view of 2021. Meanwhile, hilariously, Wyatt's previously-chargrilled 'Fiend' had also regenerated to look like the classic version. None of this made a lick of sense, and it kinda made the already-OTT story look like another silly tale full of plot points that didn't really matter.
