Without question, the most shocking moment of WrestleMania 34 came in its very last match, when Brock Lesnar defied the bookmakers to retain his Universal Championship - despite all those reports linking him with an imminent return to the Octagon.

But it's not like those reports had no basis in fact. UFC president Dana White himself dropped a strong hint last week that the Beast Incarnate was on his way back to the world of MMA - something that Paul Heyman made no effort to deny in any of his pre-show interviews.

None of that has really been debunked yet either. If Lesnar's contract expires at the end of this month, for example, it makes perfect sense to use him for the remainder of the month, perhaps having him drop the title to Roman in a rematch at Backlash.

There's always the chance that we've been completely worked here, though. That Lesnar is, in fact, sticking around a while yet, and all the noises we've been hearing over recent months amounted to deliberate misdirection on the part of WWE, who absolutely love swerving the fans.
