10 Biggest Rebels In WWE History

9. John Cena

Number nine may be a tough one for many fans. The reason for that has to do with the fact that John Cena is such an established star, such a standard bearer for WWE that it's hard to think of him as anything else. Indeed, he is the face of the company and has been for so long that he is practically Mister WWE. The truth is that Cena is to WWE what Jerry West is to the NBA; he's the logo. His face is the one that every Superstar sees when they look at the mountaintop and he is the one that fans watch every week continue to reign at that mountaintop. As long as Cena is the top guy, he may likely never be considered a rebel. However that has not always been the case. Fans remember the night in 2002 that a young John Cena stood nose to nose with Kurt Angle and dared to oppose the company's top talent. They also remember when John began dressing like a thug and rapping in promos against his opponents. Cena was a rebel in every sense of the word and it showed in everything he said and did. Fans saw it and immediately responded; despite who WWE was spotlighting at the top, Cena was the one that openly rebelled against the norm and he was loved for it. John was the fans' choice then and there can be no denying it.
