Jay White made a splash upon his return to New Japan as the dastardly “Switchblade”. Since then, White was able to topple Kenny Omega in order to capture New Japan’s newly created United States Championship. At last month’s Dominion, however, the champ found trouble in the form of Juice Robinson -- who was able to secure a win over White in tag team action.

In San Francisco, Juice continued his rise through the NJPW ranks by defeating White for the gold. The United States strap represents Robinson’s first championship in not only New Japan but any major wrestling promotion across the world. First title reigns are often a toss-up, but Juice is certain to do all he can to keep his newly won prize around his waist.

In his post-match comments, Robinson made it clear how much the title meant to him, stating, “Anybody who says that titles don’t matter in this business can burn in hell.” The newly-crowned champ continued on, adding that “[WWE] is in the rearview mirror now and I ain’t going back. I ain’t ever going back.” With his heart and mind set on his rise in New Japan, Juice will do battle with the wealth of G1 B Block competitors over the next month. Perhaps the former NXT superstar can add a G1 trophy to his mantle, beside his US title.
