10 Biggest Tag-Teams That Never Wrestled For WWE

4. Doom

There was something immediately threatening about seeing Woman in between her two hulking African-American monsters. Even though Ron Simmons and Butch Reed wore masks, virtually everybody knew who they were. The hoods were hiding nothing, and the masks didn't stick around too long.

Once they shed the head gear, Doom became a stalwart of the WCW tag-team division. Great matches against The Steiner Brothers should be sought out on the WWE Network, but that's as close as anyone could ever come to seeing the tandem work together in the WWF/WWE. As Doom, Simmons and Reed would never do so.

Continuing a trend emerging from this list, they did work for the WWF as singles stars. Back over in WCW, they were later managed by Teddy Long once removing the masks, but would only win the NWA World Tag-Team Titles once.

During an interview with JBL, Simmons told his friend that he loved teaming with Reed as Doom. He didn't go into much detail about any proposed jump to the WWF though, something that seems to suggest it was never in the pipeline.
