10 Biggest Unification Matches In Wrestling History

10. Primo & Carlito vs. The Miz & John Morrison - WWE/World Tag Team Championships (WrestleMania 25)

WrestleMania XXV saw WWE make the decision to unify both Raw and SmackDown's Tag Team Championships. The Miz and John Morrison were the World Tag Team Champions, titles that had been in existence since the 1970s, while Primo and Carlito Colon were the WWE Tag Team Champions, which were created in 2002. Surely a match with such significance is deserved of being one of the premier matches on the biggest show of the year. Wrong. This match was shunted to the pre-show when having it in place of Kid Rock's performance would have done everyone involved a huge favour. After the titles were unified, they were defended as one title, keeping their own history and identity until the middle of 2010 when champions, The Hart Dynasty, would be awarded the current 'Sparta' titles that are used today. Surprisingly, despite the near 40-year history of the World Tag Team Championships, WWE Tag Team Champions name was kept.
